The Benefits of Open Practice

The Benefits of Open Practice
by Kelly Courtney

Perfect what you’ve learnt
Attending classes is a great way to learn new tricks and combinations in a safe way but if you’re anything like me you’ll often leave with homework. Open practice is a great place to perfect what you’ve been working on.

Find your style

Our instructors always encourage you to make tricks your own and show off your style but what is your style? Why not come to open practice, put your favourite song on and see what happens.

Try tricks you’ve saved

We all do it. Save trick after trick whilst sprawled on the sofa in the evening. Open practice is the perfect time to try some of them. Be sure to pick tricks that are in your ability level and you feel safe attempting without instruction. If you ask nicely the instructor will give you some tips too.

Tailor your training

Perhaps you have a goal in mind, a competition to train for, or you’re taking it easy. Open practice means you can tailor your training to whatever you need at whatever pace.

Socialise

Just like our classes, open practice is a great place to socialise, whether you book on with a friend or show up and see who’s there.

Be inspired

Open practice is such an inspiring place to be. You get to train with all levels. Be reminded of tricks you haven’t done in a while, be inspired to try something new, add a new pole goal to your list or just gawk in amazement.

Create content

And finally open practice is a great time to get all that content you’ve been visualising for the gram.
