Aerial Hoop Classes In South Bristol

Always wanted to run away with the circus…? Well you can at Bendy Studio! Aerial hoop (also known as lyra) is one of many incredible circus skills we offer at our studio in Bristol. Our amazing instructors Suzy and Alexa have years of circus experience between them and will teach you everything you need to know whether you’re a complete beginner or seasoned aerial hoop dancer.

Why try aerial hoop?

Aerial hoop is a great way to improve your fitness and make incredible friends! You don’t need to have any experience in circus or be strong or flexible-these are all things you will learn and develop. Each class will focus on specific tricks or sequences ranging from static shapes and holds to dynamic tricks and spins. You’ll gain fitness and flexibility through targeted exercises and conditioning for the skills you learn in class.

Aerial hoop is also a great creative outlet! The tricks you learn can be put together to make floaty flows or dynamic combos depending on your preferred style. Nurture your creativity by connecting moves to form your own sequences. Flow to your favourite music and express yourself through dance.

Classes

We have classes during the evening on most weekdays and on Wednesday during the day. There are classes for beginner-advanced and mixed level classes too.

Head to our timetable to find out more and book your class. We can’t wait to meet you!

Our studio is located in South Bristol, and easy to get to via car or public transport from anywhere in Bristol or the surrounding areas.

Training

We host Open Practice 4 times per week where you can do your own training:

  • Wednesday 10am-12pm
  • Friday 4pm-6pm
  • Saturday 11am-1pm
  • Sunday 11am-1pm

This is great for developing your skills and helps you improve faster! It’s the perfect time to consolidate what you learnt in class and experiment with your own style. You can come on your own, or bring a friend from class so you can help each other improve. It’s a wonderful, friendly environment to train in and you’ll always feel welcome.
