For two handed / basic handstands
Handstands can sometimes take years to learn, they are all about patience, commitment, body awareness and handstand specific strength. Here are some handstand tips to get you started. For more tips come try our Handstand Class in Bristol every Wednesday with Bendy Kate at 6:15pm in Bendy Studio, Hengrove BS14
- Make sure your shoulders are on top of your wrists. Push down through your shoulders down into the floor to grow taller

- Try not to over-strain the back of your neck. Instead gently look down at the floor, loosely looking at your finger tips

- Make sure to transfer your weight forwards over your wrists when entering any type of handstand

- Try not to lead with your ankles when entering your handstand, instead try to lead with your hips

- Handstands are all about alignment. The more you can stack your joints the more in balance you will be
