Aerial does require a unique set of strengths specific to holding your own bodyweight, inverting and hanging off your arms. BUT this is one of the reasons that attracts us to Aerial – to become strong.
So in answer to your question: Do you have to be strong to start aerial?
NO!
You start aerial hoop to become strong!
Pre-existing strength from other backgrounds may help of course, but they aren’t necessary to start hoop.
One of the hardest things about hoop is getting upside down! It requires bicep, grip, core and hip flexor strength. But these are moves we condition your body up to in a beginners pole course. We also focus on gradually improving your flexibility, body awareness and more
Where can I learn hoop in Bristol?
