Benefits of exercising in your Lunch Break

Why not use your lunch break to disconnect from work and reconnect with your body?

Increased Energy
Always feeling sleepy after lunch? By exercising during your lunch break you’ll release endorphins and feel more energised for the rest of the day! Increased blood flow and oxygenation can boost energy and cognitive function. Plus, you’ll have something to look forward to which will help keep you going through the morning too.

Improved Focus
The endorphins released during exercise will help your concentration when your get back to work. You’ll be more productive and feel less agitated since moving your body helps release energy and eliminate restlessness. Increasing your heart rate will also boost circulation which can improve focus and creativity.

Reduced Stress
Lunchtime exercise is a perfect way to boost your mood and reduce stress. Not only are you getting a physical break from work, but exercising releases endorphins which are a natural mood booster. This can help reduce anxiety and stress, leading to improved wellbeing and a more positive mindset throughout the day.

Work-Life Balance
Want to have more personal time and a better divide between home life and work life? A lunchtime class is perfect because it stops you needing to get up early for the gym or stay out late for a class. This frees up more time for you or your family outside of work hours. It also means you have a proper break during the day. You’ll be in a new environment and can actually disconnect from work effectively while reconnecting with your body.

Community
Coming to a daytime class means you’ll meet new people and build friendships! Or, you can come with a colleague to improve your relationship and make you feel more confident when trying something new.

Physical Health
Everyone knows exercising is good, but it can be hard to fit in to busy schedules. By working out in your lunch break you know you have time to get some movement in and it can even help improve aches and pains you get from being sat at a desk all day. Plus you’re already out of the house so you’ll have more time outside of work hours to do other hobbies or spend time with friends and family.

Childcare
We know childcare can be tricky, especially outside of typical school and nursery times. Daytime classes are perfect if you have kids in school our nursery during the day. You’ll know they’re being taken care of and you can come to class without having to worry about finding extra care. And you get to spend more time with them when they get home, it’s a win-win.
