Top Handstand Tips

For two handed / basic handstands

Handstands can sometimes take years to learn, they are all about patience, commitment, body awareness and handstand specific strength. Here are some handstand tips to get you started.   • Make sure your shoulders are on top of your wrists. Push down through your shoulders down into the floor to grow taller

  • Try not to over-strain the back of your neck. Instead gently look down at the floor, loosely looking at your finger tips

  • Make sure to transfer your weight forwards over your wrists when entering any type of handstand

  • Try not to lead with your ankles when entering your handstand, instead try to lead with your hips
